1. Bancroft School Building Committee: The School Building Committee Bancroft Trade Contractor Prequalification Subcommitte meets this morning at 9 a.m. at the town offices, plant and facilities conference room.
2. Fire Rescue Citizens Academy: The 2012 Fire Rescue Citizens Academy is now accepting applications. The first session is Sept. 10 at the Public Safety Building.
3. Candidate Debate Tonight: The League of Women Voters of Andover/No Andover is sponsoring a State Primary Candidates Forum tonight at 7 p.m. at the Andover Memorial Library. The Repubilcan ticket for the Second Essex and Middlesex Senate District seat will be the main event, so to speak, with selectman Alex Vispoli and State Rep. Paul Adams both participating.
4. Gas Prices: Here are some of the lowest unleaded gas prices according to motortrend.com: the Gulf, 65 Main Street – $3.75/gallon; Mobil, 14 N. Main St. – $3.81/gallon; Sunoco, 220 North Main St., $3.81/gallon.
5. Weather: Today will be sunny with a high of 85 degrees during the day. Tonight will be mostly clear with a low of 61 degrees.
