It is Thursday, June 14 and here are 5 things you need to know:

1.Many town groups meet today including the Council on Aging at 8 a.m., Andover Youth Center Building Committee at 5:30 p.m., and the Ballardvale Historic Districts Commission at 7 p.m.

2. Wednesday, June 20 is the last day of school in Andover Public Schools for the 2011-2012 year. Classes will resume on Sept. 6. 

3. Giant summer sale going on now at the Andover Thrift Shop. Half-price on all ticketed items. Everything must go. The shop is closing for renovations June 23.

4. The Andover Historical Society has opened up their newest "Top 40" exhibit, where volunteers at the society picked their favorite 40 historical items to be put on display. The exhibit will be open through next year.

5. Weather - today is expected to be sunny with a high near 73 degrees. Tonight will be mostly clear with a low temperature of 53 degrees.
