Police Arrest N.H. Man Wanted for Robberies

A Bedford, N.H. man was arrested in Andover early Saturday morning.

Andover Police arrested a New Hampshire man on Saturday in connection with two robberies in Manchester earlier this month.

According to Andover Police Lt. William Oulette, police received information that Joel Gordon, a Bedford, N.H. man wanted by police, was staying at a hotel in Andover.

Using a warrant for a fugitive from justice, Andover Police made the arrest around 3 a.m. Saturday morning without incident.

Gordon was initially being sought by police for allegedly robbing a TD Bank branch on South Main Street in Manchester, N.H. on June 11, according to WMUR. Then last week, Manchester police said Gordon was also wanted for robbing the Digital Federal Credit Union on South Willow Street in Manchester on Wednesday morning.

Gordon will not be arraigned in Massachusetts but will be extradited to New Hampshire. Oulette said that Lawrence District Court will begin the extradition process on Monday.

Gordon is currently staying at the Middleton House of Corrections.
