A motorcycle accident on I-93 at the I-495 overpass Saturday afternoon has left two people in serious condition.

State Police, EMTs and Andover firefighters rushed to the scene at about 2 p.m. The two people who were on the motorcyle were rushed to Lawrence General Hospital.

There was an alert that one of the people had gone into cardiac arrest. Both motorcycle passengers are reportedly in serious condition.

There were two cars involved in the accident as well, but the drivers of those cars were not taken to the hospital.

As of 3:30 p.m., the breakdown lane is closed in that area of I-93 and all other lanes merge into the left lane.

Accident reconstruction crews are at the scene, and the accident is under investigation.
