"Everyone needs to chill," said co-owner Caitlin Sullivan when describing Chill Andover which recently opened at Indra Salon at 8 Main Street.

Sullivan, a licensed esthetician, teamed up with Chrissy McQuade, owner of Chill Spa in Manchester, New Hampshire, to open the Andover location. Sullivan previously managed the full-service Manchester location for six years.

Differing from its New Hampshire counterpart, Chill Andover does not offer hair services, and it has introduced a MediSpa for non-surgical facial rejuvenation.

Chill Andover boasts an extensive service menu, which includes luxurious facials, massages, body treatments, spray tanning, make up applications, corrective skin care, manicures and pedicures, non-surgical rejuvenation, peels, Botox, and other injectables.

The spa also sells products from their makeup bar, including Bare Essentials makeup, according to Sullivan.

Their clients range in age, and services cater to both men and women. Young girls can get manicures and glitter tattoos. There are couples rooms for facials and massages, and even the pedicure and manicure stations are setup side to side for mother/daughter or friends' treatments.

Describing the partnership of Chill Spa and Indra Salon, as a “perfect marriage,” Sullivan related how it began. Jessica Gaynes, an Indra Salon stylist was a client in Manchester and introduced salon owners April Graffeo and Jose Bastistine to Sullivan and McQuade.

“Chill Spa is known in New Hampshire as an award-winning spa, and Indra is known as an award-winning salon, and they (Graffeo and Bastistine) understood that we could take the spa experience to the next level,” explained Sullivan.

Indra previously offered their own services, and Chill is retaining their estheticians, nail technicians and massage therapists. The new MediSpa is staffed by Rose Rogers, RN and Lisa Contaldo who both have years of experience in skin rejuvenation, cosmetic dermatology and plastic surgery, said Sullivan. The spray tanning room is also a new addition.

After a couple of months of redecorating and planning, Chill is now booking appointments, she said. “The reception from Indra clients has been great, and everyone is very excited.”

Sullivan explained that plans are in the works for a grand opening that will include Chill, Indra Salon and Coco Collection.

“Our clients will feel fabulous with just a little bit of chill time,” she said.
