Couple Killed in Crash 'Did What They Loved'

The older couple who died in a car crash this past Friday were two people who didn't slow down, according to their family.

James and JoAnn Eckels, 82 and 72, were the type of couple that didn't let age define them and stayed active until the end, according to an article in the Eagle Tribune. The Andover couple died this past Friday in a car accident on Route 125.

Daughter Marcella Eckels commented about her mother in the article.

“My mother believed all women had a right to health care. She taught a prenatal class in English and Spanish. My parents were both doing what they loved,” said Marcella.
