It’s Friday and we’ve got some ideas to help you plan a fun weekend but, at the same time, stay local. From a presentations by ghost hunters to a chocolate buffet, we are showcasing some enriching experiences this weekend for Andover Patch readers.

Why Go: The Ghost Hunters of Southern Tri State (GHOSTS) visited the Amos Blanchard House over the summer to look for evidence of the paranormal and they will be presenting their findings Saturday night at the Andover Historical Society at 97 Main Street. This is the first in a series called “Bewitched in Andover.”
Where/When: Saturday, Oct. 1, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the West Parish Church
Why Go: Help raise money for local charities while indulging in a chocolate dessert buffet!
Pricing: Advance ticket sale: $10 a person, Door: $11
Where/When: Saturday, Oct. 1, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Park, Chestnut Street and Bartlet Street
Why Go: Go out and find a number of great deals at the Department of Community Service’s Giant Yard Sale in the Park.
When: Friday, Oct. 1, 5 p.m., Indian Ridge Country Club, 73 Lovejoy Rd
Why Go: The Friends of Andover Tennis will be holding a fundraiser to help cover the costs for renovations of the Andover High School tennis courts. Light fare and beverages will be served. Find out more at www.friendsofandovertennis.org.
