Girls Soccer, Swimming, and Field Hockey Stay Undefeated

All three teams came away with wins yesterday.

Girls Soccer

With a 4-0 blanking of Haverhill, the Lady Warriors soccer team improved its record to 5-0-1.

The Warriors have not given up a goal in their past five games (all wins).

Emily Van Antwerp, Hannah LeBlanc, Devon Caveney, and Sophie Draper all scored for the Warriors. Goalkeeper Emily Wilson did not even face a shot on goal.

The Warriors look to try and stay undefeated at Central Catholic tomorrow.

Field Hockey

A 6-0 win over the Lawrence Lancers helped the field hockey team improve to 3-0 on the season.

Andover has not given up a goal in its three games this season against Tewksbury, Methuen, and now Lawrence.

Jaclyn Torres scored twice against the Lancers. Anne Farnham, Meagan Keefe, Melissa Newton, and Briana Smith also tallied goals for the Warriors.

Manchester Essex visits AHS for a game tonight at 7pm.

Girls Swimming

Andover beat Reading in a meet yesterday by the score of 103-67. The win improves Andover's record to 4-0 on the year.

Ashlee and Alexa Korsberg each had impressive days accounting for many of the Warriors' points.

Andover's next meet is Friday at Lowell.

Boys Soccer

The Warriors played to a 2-2 draw against Central Catholic yesterday afternoon in Lawrence. It was Andover's second straight tie and set the Warriors' record at 2-1-3.

Pat O'Sullivan and Alex Wagner each found the back of the net in this one. Josh Chevalier came up with 7 saves.

Andover hosts Billerica tomorrow night at 7pm.

Today

The boys and girls cross country teams host Methuen at 3:30pm.

The boys golf team hosts Billerica at 3:30pm.

The girls volleyball team is playing at Milfrod at 5:30pm.

The field hockey team hosts Manchester Essex under the lights at 7pm.

O-Zone Lock of the Week

Last week, the O-Zone predicted the Andover football team would beat Gloucester, and they did so in convincing fashion.

The O-Zone now has a 13-2 career record predicting Golden Warriors games.

This week, Andover's matchup is against Tewksbury. The Warriors and Redmen do battle on Saturday afternoon at 1:30, and once again, the O-Zone predicts a Warriors win.
