In the Pink Celebrates 10 Years with a Move to Main Street
The owners of the nail salon were looking to expand their space and say they are thrilled with the new location with its ambiance and free parking for their clients.
In the Pink recently celebrated its 10th anniversary with a move and an expansion to 78 Main Street.
The space, vacated by Flowers By Steve, was ideal with its aesthetics and free parking, according to Owners Katrina Batal and Nina Monson.
Their lease was ending at Olde Andover Village, now known as Andover Village Square, and the new owners could not offer them ample space to expand their business.
Moving in 4 weeks ago, Batal and Monson felt that the exposure on Main Street has added to their already established clientele.
"All of our clients that walk through the door are wowed and ecstatic and very happy for us. It is now more of an experience when they come in for services with lots of room and a relaxing atmosphere," Monson explained.
Both the décor and convenience of their new location has made for a smooth transition. There is now more space for fundraisers and birthday parties with the back rooms, she said.
The salon will be offering the same manicure and pedicure services, and they will be expanding their hours to include some evenings and Mondays by appointment. We were able to hire additional staff with the increased space, according to Batal.
"The whole move is positive with a lot of good changes," she explained. In addition to Batal and Monson, Jennifer Jordan and Jyoti Singh will service clients.
In celebration, the salon held an open house on Sunday April 1; with free mini manicures, chair massage, food and raffles.
Batal commended the downtown businesses whom she described as “a very supportive community."
"I didn't even have to ask them for raffles. They offered them to us," she explained.
The open house was a great success, with people waiting out the door in the morning described Batal. And John Fenton, one of the owners of Andover Village Square dropped by to wish them well, she said.
The hours are Monday by appointment, Tues, 9am-7pm; Wed, 10am-8pm; Thurs, 9am-8pm; Fri, 9am-7pm and Sat, 9am-6pm. The phone number is 978-475-3833 or check out the website.
