Nearly 1,300 Without Power in Andover

National Grid is reporting roughly 1,300 power outages throughout Andover.

Hurricane Irene has already had a significant impact on the homes in Andover; 1,298 homes to be exact. National Grid is reporting that 1,298 Andover customers are currently without power, as of 3 p.m. Sunday.

National Grid is currently assessing the conditions in Andover and in the process of restoring power to the homes affected. Residents with questions can contact National Grid at 1-800-465-1212.

While the rain is behind us, damaging winds expected today threaten more homes with the possibility of power outages. Customers are urged to call local law enforcement with any power-related emergencies. Andover Police's direct line is 978-475-0411.
