Police are searching for an armed robber that stole an undetermined amount of money from Star Nails in the Olde Andover Village Tuesday evening.

Police say that the man, dressed in a dark hooded sweatshirt, quickly walked into the nail shop, which is hidden in a courtyard in the shopping area, and demanded cash at knife point.

State Police K-9 units were dispatched to search for the robber, according to Police Sgt. Cecilia Blais. The robber took off with an undetermined amount of cash. 

Unfortunately, there were no other store owners or patrons in the area that witnessed the robbery, besides the nail shop owners. 

Blais said it is possible the man, described to be in his late teens or early 20s, had a car waiting on Main Street and was able to make a inconspicuous getaway.

Police were still searching for the subject as of 8:15 p.m. Tuesday night. The case is under investigation.
