Hidden Gem opened this past November in the Bridal Center at One Main Street. The diamond boutique shares Suite 305 with Photography by Linda.

Owner and Andover Resident Beverly Birnbach has over 20 years of experience in the jewelry business. She said she caters to individuals looking for engagement rings, wedding bands, eternity bands, diamonds and one of a kind jewelry.

Birnbach said she offers personal service and custom luxury goods at affordable prices, because she works directly with diamond resources and local jewelry designers. 

She began her career at Gordon Brothers in Boston, and more recently has participated in events promoting jewelry, clothing and designers. Birnbach had worked with clients out of her home until one of her diamond resources suggested she open up a studio.

In looking for space, Birnbach said she wanted it to be in the Bridal Center because "it made sense." Only there for a couple of months, she participated in the Military Wedding Dream Giveaway by donating wedding bands to the winner.

On Saturday, February 9, she is collaborating with Laura Hardiman of the Ivory Corset in running a 20% off sale for Valentine’s Day.

Birnbach works by appointment only. “I ask my clients their price range, and then I show them pieces.  It is personal with no pressure,” she said.

She emphasized that she is not competing with jewelry stores, but has developed a niche that is personal and service-oriented.

Birnbach also carries jewelry for special occasions and bridesmaid gifts including strands for under $100, she added.
