Resident Charged with Assault and Battery on Carter Lane

The following are excerpts from the Andover Police log. The log is open to the public.
Thursday, Dec. 6
At 12:30 p.m. a stolen laptop was reported on Minuteman Road company.
At 11:56 p.m. a caller reported a neighbor playing loud music all night on Railroad Street.
Friday, Dec. 7
At 1:23 a.m. police arrested Ali R. Niakosari, 45, of 19 Carter Lane. Niakosari was charged with assault and battery on a household member.
At 7:36 a.m. a possible water main break was reported on Hidden Road. The water department was notified.
At 10:06 a.m. a caller reported a hurt eagle on the side of Lupine Road. The animal control officer could not locate the animal.
At 2:47 p.m. a caller on Nob Hill Circle reported receiving threatening phone calls about breaking down her door.
At 4:02 p.m. a walk-in visitor to the police station reported a past assault on Shawsheen Road.
At 10:48 p.m. a caller reported he was in a fight with another man on Frontage Road. One of the men was taken into protective custody.
Saturday, Dec. 8
At 3:47 a.m. a caller on Hartford Circle reported that his 21-year-old old sister arrived home and was intoxicated and high, and she wanted to leave in a car. His parents took the keys and there was an argument ensuing. An officer reported that everyone eventually calmed down and will be going to bed.
At 7:17 a.m. a caller reported a car crash on Interstate 93 near Dascomb Road. State Police responded to the incident.
At 11:13 a.m. a caller reported a motor vehicle accident with airbag deployment on Interstate 93.
At 10:34 p.m. a caller reported suspicious motor vehicles on Pleasant Street.
