Student's Nonprofit Brings Eyeglasses to Needy Kids

Pike School student Niko Skrivanos started a nonprofit organization that has provided 30 pairs of eyeglasses to children that need them.

Andover student Niko Skrivanos has always needed glasses to see and this eventually brought him to form a nonprofit that aims to ensure other kids can see as well, according to an article in the Eagle Tribune

The Pike School student formed the group along with the help of Andover Eye Care, who have agreed to craft lenses when Niko, 13, sets them up with a child and a pair of eyeglasses. Since beginning, he has provided eyeglasses for roughly 30 children in the area.

“I wanted to do something to give back,” said Niko, who is in the eighth grade at Pike School, which is off Sunset Road.
