Vehicle Ticketed After Being Hit on Lewis Street

The following are excerpts from the Andover Police log. The log is open to the public.
Sunday, Jan. 13
At 3:36 a.m. Methuen Police reported recovering a stolen motor vehicle belonging to an Andover resident. The motor vehicle had minor damage on the passenger side and rear bumper.
At 12:47 p.m. a caller on River Road reported seeing a couple of men on the Methuen side of the Merrimack River with rifles. An officer reported that kids and adults were shooting BB guns. They were spoken to about trespassing.
At 3:32 p.m. Andover Fire and Rescue responded to an oven fire on North Main Street. One lane of traffic was blocked for fire engines while extinguishing the fire.
Monday, Jan. 14
At 8:03 a.m. an alarm company reported a "hold up" alarm at a business on Railroad Street. The business owner said that no alarm went off at the business and that he would be contacting the alarm company.
At 9:28 a.m. a caller reported that drug paraphernalia was abandoned between his house and his neighbor's house.
At 9:33 a.m. a caller reported a laptop stolen from Helium, Inc. in Brickstone Square.
At 9:54 a.m. a caller reported a motor vehicle accident involving a vehicle hitting a parked vehicle on Lewis Street. A citation was issued to the parked vehicle for parking in a no parking area.
At 12:04 p.m. police arrested Daniel J. Gentile, 21, of 209 Centre Ave., Abington, on Haggetts Pond Road. Gentile was charged with use of a motor vehicle without authority.
At 12:27 p.m. a sergeant reported a police cruiser that was involved in a motor vehicle accident on Central Street at the Co-Op Bank.
At 6:53 p.m. a caller reported smelling a drug-related odor from the neighbor's apartment on Main Street.
