Andover beat North Andover on Friday in the first game of the 2011 football regular season.

On Friday night in North Andover, the Scarlet Knights and Golden Warriors began their 2011 football season.

Andover won 30 to 20 over the Knights, earning them their sixth consecutive win against North Andover.

Andover quarterback C.J. Scarpa threw for three touchdowns in the win.

Senior running back Andy Coke ran for 130 yards off 21 attempts and picked up a second quarter rushing touchdown.

North Andover’s senior quarterback Brandon Walsh racked up 97 rushing yards off only 9 attempts picking up a pair of touchdown runs.

Walsh threw a 61 yard touchdown pass to his younger brother Casey in the fourth quarter to give the Knights a late lead that they would give up on the ensuing drive.

C.J. Scarpa hooked up with Cam Farnham for a 60 yard touchdown strike that gave Andover the lead for good.

The Knights host Reading next week while Andover travels to Gloucester.
