What is Happening at 323 Lowell Street?

This week's You Ask...Patch Answers addresses the development of a medical center.

What is happening at 323 Lowell Street?

Developer Sal Lupoli had proposed the construction of a three-story, 30,000 square foot medical center for Partners Healthcare, of Mass General, at 323 Lowell Street in March. In April, the Zoning Board of Appeals approved the variances and the special permit that Lupoli needed to move forward with the project.

The building will have a 10,000 square-foot footprint and will be three stories tall. Roughly 15,000 square feet is intended for office space, both medical and professional, 5,000 square feet is intended for a walk-in medical clinic and 10,000 square feeet is intended for basement storeage for medical files.

The building will sit on a 1.5 acre lot at 323 Lowell Street (as well as 321 and 325), abutting the Windsor Green as well as 240 proposed condominium units at the Rolling Green Golf Course.

All information was provided by the office of the Zoning Board of Appeals.

Hi Art, Great question. I'll be covering the condo project in a separate article soon and I'll make sure to address that point. Thanks!
