Woman Arrested After Assault with Coffee Mug

The following are excerpts from the Andover Police log. The log is open to the public.
Wednesday, Oct. 17
At 11:13 a.m. a caller reported that his son came home from school and found that his vehicle had been keyed on Shawsheen Road.
At 11:31 a.m. a caller reported a motor vehicle accident on North Main Street. No injuries were reported. One motorist was cited for following too closely and no license in possession.
At 12:59 p.m. Andover fire officials responded to a brush fire on Shawsheen Road. The fire was put out.
At 1:51 p.m. a caller reported that a motorist is driving around swearing and yelling at people wearing a Halloween mask on Highland Wayside. An officer later said that the caller did not want to file an official report.
At 3 p.m. a caller reported a motor vehicle accident with injuries on North Main Street. Three vehicles were involved and some were towed from the scene.
At 3:49 p.m. police arrested Lorne Michael Casey, 42, of 279 Merrimack St., Lawrence, on North Main Street. She was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, subsequent offense. The victim had claimed that Casey hit her with a coffee mug.
Thursday, Oct. 18
At 9:59 a.m. a theft was reported on River Road.
At 9:59 a.m. a caller reported that a coyote was following her in a bird sanctuary off Highland Road.
At 2:18 p.m. a caller reported a woman that fell off her bicycle on Montego Circle. An ambulance was called.
At 2:29 p.m. a caller reported that her tires and rims were stolen from her vehicle on Haverhill Street.
At 4:23 p.m. a motor vehicle accident was reported involving a mother and a child in a car seat on Lovejoy Road. One patient was transported to Lawrence General Hospital.
At 5:17 p.m. a caller reported a motor vehicle accident on Lowell Street. No injuries were reported.
Friday, Oct. 19
At 3:58 a.m. police arrested Carol A. Murphy, 57, of 21 River St., on River Street. Murphy was charged with assault and battery on a household member and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
At 9:53 a.m. a caller reported that the trash man was looking through her trash on Flint Circle.
At 3:23 p.m. a caller reported that his iPad was stolen from his truck on River Road. He used a GPS locator to find the device and then knocked on the door where it was located. He concluded that the iPad was thrown out of a window and the resident of the home found it.
At 4:33 p.m. a caller reported a hit and run on North Main Street. The caller said that her Toyota was hit while in the parking lot of Stop & Shop.
