When taking on the task of decluttering and possibly rearranging a space, don't forget the impact your changes may have on your pets. You may laugh, but animals, much like humans, are creatures of habit, and when we change their world it can be a little unsettling. I was pleasantly surprised when a client of mine told me that a cat stand that was in a room had to stay in the room and had to stay in front of a window. Everything else in the room was up for negotiation, but the cat stand had to stay put. My client's cats enjoyed sitting in the window, checking out the view and catching some rays. Why would we deprive the kitties of that!
Additionally, if you have a pet that is visually impared (or in the process of losing his/her vision) take into consideration how changes to your home may impact your four-legged friend.
I do not say this to discourage you from making changes or improvements to you home, just be consious of the fact that all members of the household will feel the changes!

Hillary you are 100% correct ..the impact on animals can also lead to emotional behavior changes too. Many times a cat may reject the new area you move his kitty litter box and choose not to use it anymore. Meaning there could be accidents on the floor. If you change too much in a dog's envirnoment this may lead to him marking in the house. You are correct when you say members of the house will feel the change !
