I never knew the gentleman personally, yet I passed his home and admired his life’s work nearly everyday for the past 22 years. From dawn to dusk during the growing season, Peter Loosigian tended the fields of his beloved Strawberry Hill Farm on Lowell Street in Andover.  

I watched him in awe as he  knelt daily to tend the neatly planted rows of flowers and vegetables, his tanned skin and hunched shoulders, not lack of energy, the only signs of his advancing age.

Rest in peace my farmer neighbor.  The neighborhood will never be the same without you.
