LOLCR Cat of the Week: Spirit, A Sweet Mom

Fast go the kittens, quickly adopted out while momma cats are left behind. Would you consider a young, tiny mom like Spirit?

She’s such a gentle girl, a gorgeous brown tabby with enduring blue-green eyes, about three years old. Spirit was found in a shed, nursing kittens. She is a friendly, healthy cat with a soft temperament; just a tad shy at first meeting. Her sweet soul makes it easy for her to live with cats and dogs.

Explosion with kitten season is beyond anything we’ve ever seen. We’re scrambling to keep up with phone calls - momma cats and their kittens, sadly born outside. You can’t imagine the enormous amount of time and money to rescue. It’s a heart wrenching endeavor, for the ones that volunteer countless days/nights to rescue cats from a tough life outside, from reproducing over and over.

All this suffering and havoc can stop, if only people would spay/neuter. This is why we need homes for the moms and foster homes, if you can’t adopt, please consider fostering. So now that Spirit’s mothering days are over, maybe you can now nurture and protect her, allowing this gentle cat to celebrate her own “spirit of independence” with a safe place to call her own.

Does she happen to be declawed? I am not for taking a cat's claws but the one I have happens to have been declawed before we rescued her.
