The meeting begins with refreshments, then speaker Marc Fournier will discuss implementing sustainable operations to achieve the goals of the American College & University Presidents’ Climate Commitment. Lunch follows the presentation. Marc Fournier has 30 years’ experience in recycling and waste management and is a LEED Accredited Professional. A former environmental analyst with the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection, Fournier also served as director of public works in Hull, senior environmental specialist with Haley & Aldrich, Inc., and Executive Director of WasteCap of Massachusetts.
Event will be held at Salvatore's (Sal's Pizza and Italian Restaurant), 354 Merrimack Street, Lawrence MA, (978) 291-0220. Nonmembers welcome.
Founded in 1927, the Andover Garden Club is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that encourages the study and practice of horticulture, landscape design, and floral design; aids in the beautification of the town of Andover; and helps protect and conserve natural resources. A member of the Garden Club Federation of Massachusetts, Inc., and National Garden Clubs, Inc., the club provides both financial and hands-on support to a variety of municipal, educational, and environmental organizations throughout the region.
