 o a live digital recorder to stack layers of lush cello\, spoken word an
 d ardent singing. She is a rare string player who is imbued with the tec
 hnique of a classical master combined with arock and roll imagination. I
 n Kristen's hands\, the cello can do anything. Her music playfully explo
 res the sides of jazz\, folk\, and world music that you're not going to 
 find anywhere else in contemporary music. Vance Gilbert says &ldquo\;ple
