Organist improvisor Peter Krasinski plays Methuen's Great Organ in accompaniments for two silent movie comedies: "The Mystery of the Leaping Fish" (1916) starring Douglas Fairbanks and "A Sailor-Made Man" (1921) starring Harold Lloyd. A globally-known specialist in the art of silent movie accompaniment, Krasinski has recently toured in Yokohama, Japan, playing to full houses in major concert halls. He also is a frequent recitalist on the world's largest pipe organ, the Wanamaker Organ in Philadelphia. Methuen Memorial Music Hall, built 100 years ago to house the magnificent, now 150-year-old concert organ from the Boston Music Hall, is on the National Register of Historic Places. The Hall is used for organ recitals, concerts, young people's theatre and weddings.
