Recycling Forum Friday Morning

Five things you should know in Andover today.

Here are five things you need to know on Friday, Oct. 11.

  • Rain: Temperatures are expected to be in the low 60s most of the day, with rain throughout the day as well. But the good news is that Saturday and Sunday are expected to be bright and sunny.
  • Meeting: The West Elementary School Council will meet at 8:15 a.m. in the school's conference room.
  • Recycling: There will be a Recycling Forum Presented by Candy Dann at 10 a.m. at the Center at Punchard.
  • Discount Pizza: Sal's Pizza will have its Customer Appreciation Day Saturday, and they're rolling back their price on 19-inch cheese pizzas to the 1990 price , $5.55. And 55 cents from each pizza will be donated to the United Way.
  • Shutdown: Many federal agencies are closed due to the federal government shutdown.The Post Office and IRS are still open, so you can still send mail and pay your taxes.
