Boston Celtics Forward Brandon Bass Inspires Swim Safety at Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence
Boston Celtics forward Brandon Bass inspired more than 500 members of the Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence with his message of swim safety on Tuesday, April 15. Bass, a Louisiana native who learned to swim at age 28, told the children, “It’s a life-saving skill.” His visit was timed to encourage ages 6-9 to sign up for the free ZAC swim camp sponsored by The ZAC Foundation, which will take place from April 22-25 at the Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence. The ZAC Foundation has partnered with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America to bring ZAC Camps to thousands of youth nationwide. The Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence was selected through a rigorous application process, based on its commitment to advancing water safety locally.
