Andover Among Top 25 Safest Towns, Says Report
Andover is tops, according to this recent report.
Andover was ranked No. 23 on a recent list of the 50 safest communities in Massachusetts.
The Safewise.com list, released last week, highlighted Andover's after school programs, and other programming for kids. Safewise is a home security review resource.
Sudbury earned the top spot on the list. Newton was ranked No. 38.
"An affluent town in Essex County, Andover is a dynamic community that offers residents a high degree of community responsiveness and a diverse collection of recreational activities," said the report.
Safewise.com reported the following statistics for Andover:
- Violent crimes per 1,000 residents: .68
- Property crimes per 1,000 residents: 8.59
