Be Safe

Residents are reminded to drive carefully in that area, as many may be walking. Also, residents are reminded not to light their own fireworks.

"We always have extra patrols on the holidays, with all kinds of events going on," Andover Police Lt. James Hashem said.

According to the Centers for Disease Control, thousands of accidents happen every year in the United States due to improper fireworks displays.
