Thousands Remember Colleen Ritzer in Memorial Race
Ritzer, an Andover resident and Danvers High School teacher, was murdered by a student last year, authorities said.
Thousands of runners and supporters turned out for the "Step Up for Colleen" 5K Sunday morning.
The race was in memory of Colleen Ritzer, the Andover resident and Danvers High School teacher who authorities said was murdered by a student last year.
Proceeds from the race went to a scholarship fund for Andover and Danvers High School seniors who "demonstrate a passion for teaching, academic excellence, and love of family."
