Garden designer and consultant Maureen Bovet will guide attendees through the wonderful garden scenes and floral designs of the Chelsea Flower Show, held each May in England. As a bonus, she will share photos of the nearby walled Chelsea Physic Garden, which opened in 1673. Bovet’s background in horticulture, garden design, and European history well qualify her as a guide for this virtual tour. She earned a history degree from Wellesley College, has studied with the Landscape Institute and the University of Massachusetts’ Green School, and has worked for Historic New England in its historic plant-propagation program.
Founded in 1927, the Andover Garden Club is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that encourages the study and practice of horticulture, landscape design, and floral design; aids in the beautification of the town of Andover; and helps protect and conserve natural resources.
