Local Real Estate Business Purchased

Prudential Howe & Doherty Realtors will now be part of the William Ravais team.

A major local name in real estate is under new ownership.

William Raveis Massachusetts has purchased Prudential Howe & Doherty Realtors at 12 Bartlet St. in Andover. The purchase price has not been announced yet.

The deal incorporates Prudential How & Doherty into the Raveis fold, including the 48 realtors with Prudential.

Prudential Howe & Doherty has reportedly made $3.6 billion in home sales since its inception in 1995.

"Making this deal with William Raveis gives us the best of everything,” Doug Howe, president of Howe & Doherty, said. "We are excited for our agents and the unprecedented support and quality technology and marketing tools they will receive from William Raveis. It was also important to us that we stay involved with the day-to-day operations of the office and the management of our agents. We’re excited to work together with William Raveis to see our offices grow for many years to come.”

William Ravais started in Connecticut 10 years ago and has since expanded across New England and New York.
