J.L. Coombs to Close January 28

The 182-year-old chain is holding a closing sale at its Andover location.

The Andover branch of the J.L. Coombs shoe store will close its doors on January 28th citing a poor economy, excess inventory, and an expiring lease as reasons for the shut down.

J.L. Coombs, a brand that has been in existence for 182 years, will hold a closing sale at its .

Brands such as Ecco, Clarks, Timberland, Ugg, Rockport, and more will be available at a discount throughout the duration of the sale. The store hopes to liquidate almost 5,000 pairs of shoes before it closes.

Until January 28, J.L. Coombs will remain open between 10am and 6pm Monday through Thursday (open until 8pm on Thursday) and between 12 and 5pm on Sundays.
