Philips North America Helps Clean Up Haverhill Neighborhood

Andover company Philips North America have joined health housing organization Rebuilding Together Greater Haverhill on a community revitalization project in the Riverside area of Haverhill.

Volunteers are upgradeing six homes in the Riverside community. Projects include interior paint work, flooring and stair repairs, installation of new smoke detectors, CO2 alarms and accessibility grab bars, and yard work.

Volunteers are also renovating the landscaping at Trinity Stadium, a Haverhill sports and recreation located in the same neighborhood.

“Repairing and upgrading these homes will allow these long-time residents to live in safe and healthy environments,” said Joan Parah, program manager, Rebuilding Together Haverhill. “Through the efforts of our local volunteers and the generous support of Philips and its Philip Cares community service program, we’re grateful for the opportunity to improve the daily living situation of these residents and to make outdoor improvements for all to enjoy at Trinity Stadium.”
