VIDEO: Verizon Union Workers Striking on Shattuck Road

More than 100 Verizon Communication workers were out today in Andover disputing their new contract.

Verizon employees of the Communication Workers of America (CWA) Local 1400 said that it was not only the lack of overtime and costlier health insurance that made them move to strike but an overall decrease in job security.

The workers were out today, rain or shine, disputing the stipulations of the new contract on Shattuck Road in Andover, near one of Verizon's local offices. The old contract expired on Saturday.
