Wyndham Repairs After Flood

The popular local hotel experienced a water break, flood and damage to its first floor.

The Wyndham Hotel is repairing its first floor after Wednesday's food that left other River Road businesses without clean water for several hours.

Hotel management said a pipe in the hotel broke Wednesday morning, flooding the ground floor -- including the hotel's grand ballroom -- with water. The Andover Fire Department reported that the pipe was fixed within a few hours, but not before causing significant damage to the hotel and disrupting water supply to several surrounding businesses.

For several hours after the flooding was fixed, surrounding businesses experienced discolored water, most of which the Fire Department has fixed by flushing out nearby hydrants.

Wyndham Management said they expect the repairs to be finished by this weekend, so business can continue as usual.
