Now when you go to Yella in downtown Andover for some Mediterranean cuisine, you have the option to dine outdoors.
The popular restaurant opened its outdoor seating on Friday. Now there are patio tables and chairs where there were once three parking spaces.
Co-owned by Chef Carlo Berdahn and his wife Danielle, Yella opened in 2009 and continues to draw huge crowds.
Being allowed to extend dining into what were parking spaces was a lengthy process with permitting, but the couple says the community was supportive.
