1. Retirement Board Meeting: The Andover Contributory Retirement Board meets this morning at 8 a.m. at the Andover Town Offices, third floor conference room A.

2. Fire Rescue Citizens Academy: The is now accepting applications. The first session is Sept. 10 at the Public Safety Building.

3. Candidate Debate: The League of Women Voters of Andover/No Andover is sponsoring a State Primary Candidates Forum tomorrow, Aug. 30 at 7 p.m. at the Andover Memorial Library. The Repubilcan ticket for the Second Essex and Middlesex Senate District seat will be the main event, so to speak, with selectman Alex Vispoli and State Rep. Paul Adams both participating.

4. Gas Prices: Here are some of the lowest unleaded gas prices according to motortrend.com: 65 Main Street – $3.65/gallon; , 14 N. Main St. – $3.69/gallon; , 220 North Main St., $3.71/gallon.
