From Farm to Table: How We Sustain Local Farms

We hope that eating local food sustains local farms, but why do we want to keep those local farms around? What keeps them in business or threatens their extinction? This program addresses the many ways food and farming affect all of us. From animal welfare and farmland preservation to energy efficiency and immigration reform, join this conversation delving into the concerns of local food producers and looking at the actions we can take as consumers to support local food production.

Join local farmers and speakers: Lisa Colby, Colby Farms, Newburyport; Glenn Cook, Cider Hill Farm, Amesbury; and Rich Bonanno, Pleasant Valley Gardens Methuen.

Presented by the League of Women Voters of Andover/ North Andover and Memorial Hall Library.
