Journalist & Author Ted Reinstein Visits Memorial Hall Library

Journalist and author, Ted Reinstein, will visit Memorial Hall Library to share his book, A New England Notebook:  One Reporter, Six States, Uncommon Stories. Reinstein is best known around New England as a correspondent for Chronicle, the nation’s longest-running, locally-produced TV newsmagazine, where he has been a reporter and producer since 1995.  His deep interest in Boston’s Big Dig project led to stories where he brought viewers deep underground, high up on hundred-foot cranes, and face-to-face with both workers and project officials. He was part of a Chronicle team that won a prestigious DuPont-Columbia Broadcast Journalism Award in 2002 for coverage of the Big Dig.  From literally every corner of New England, he’s found the offbeat, the memorable, the interesting, and the just plain quirky, all while telling the enduringly colorful stories of New England’s people and places.  The book recounts some of his favorite people and stories from his many travels around New England for ChronicleNational Geographic Traveler selected it as one of 2013’s “The Best Travel Books of Spring.” RSVP online at mhl.org/eventcalendar or 978-623-8401 x31.
