"Death and the Civil War" is a documentary by award-winning filmmaker Ric Burns. The film is based on Drew Gilpin Faust’s book "This Republic of Suffering: Death and the American Civil War." This event is free and open to the public.
This special screening is sponsored by Phillips Academy’s Office of the Head of School, as part of the Andover Historical Society’s "Lest We Forget" program, commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Civil War, through the lens of the town of Andover, with a series of programming
including concerts, lectures, exhibits, gallery talks and more.
