"Soaring" open house

ANDOVER CULTURAL COUNCIL AND MEMORIAL HALL LIBRARY “SOAR” BACK INTO THE SCHOOL YEAR

Andover Cultural Council partners with Memorial Hall Library to present the September artist of the month project, “Soaring”; a collection of works by students from seven of the town’s elementary schools.  Inspired by the meaning of the word, students from Bancroft, Shawsheen, Sanborn, South, West, Saint Augustine’s, and Pike worked with their art teachers to interpret the theme in the form of birds.  Each school was given a 2’x3’ foam board and a package of multicolored tissue paper to make their creation.  The resulting creations are unique, colorful, whimsical, and eye-catching.

An open house
reception will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 4:00 – 5:30 pm at Memorial
Hall Library in the main circulation area.
Light refreshments will be served, and the public is invited.
