New England is home to some great food, so we've compiled a list of the best culinary adventures in Massachusetts and New Hampshire that everyone should enjoy. The best part? You only need a tank of gas (or less) to get there.

Why Go: It's a great way to experience Salem. You'll visit the city's restaurants, shops and farmers markets during the tour.

Must Do: Depending on when you visit, check out the vegan tours, which celebrate vegan food in the area.

The Fine Print: Tours are about three hours long. Tickets are $54 a person. Closed on major holidays.

Why Go: Moonlight Meadery has a variety of unique meads (honey wines). The tour is brief, but informative. You'll learn about the history of meads and the different processes the winery uses to develop different flavors. If you’re a local or a wine lover who is visiting the area, check out this tour.

Insider Tip: Having a pen and paper is essential. You’ll taste so many wines you’ll forget which ones are your favorites.

Must Do: When you have your wine tasting, try “Seduction,” a mead with hints of chocolate, coffee, and vanilla. 

The Fine Print: Open Sunday-Tuesday 11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., and Wednesday-Saturday 11:00 a.m.- 7:00 p.m. Tour and tasting are $15 a person.

Why Go: Chez Boucher Cooking School is one of the best in the state, according to many online reviews. The school offers six-week classes, one-day workshops, and themes such as “Cooking with Friends” or “Couples Night Out.”

Insider Tip: Bring a pen to take down all the helpful information; you’ll leave with a folder of recipes you've made.

Must Do: If you cannot commit to a longer class, try the school's one-day workshop where Boucher shares his culinary knowledge on specific topics.

Why Go:  If you like pizza and are looking for fun things to do in Boston, give Boston Pizza Tours a shot. You'll walk around Boston’s historic neighborhoods and eat some yummy pizza—what’s not to love?

Must Do: Can't decide which tour to go on? Try the “Pizza & Historic Tavern Tour” where you'll go on a public ferry ride across Boston and enjoy a couple of slices of the best pizza in the city.
