Community Corner
Andover Book Store in danger of closing
If you live in Andover or have ever lived in Andover or ever shopped in Andover, you might have shopped at the Andover Book Store.
Anyway, half of their business comes from Phillips Academy and PA has decided they no longer want to do business with the Andover Book Store. The bookstore says that some of the students obviously go the Amazon or BN route but that 70% continue to shop there and they ALWAYS give the students the barcodes for the books so they can buy them somewhere else if they wish.
PA apparently could not care less and doesn't want to hear it. The owners of the bookstore are asking that people email or snail mail the head of PA and let him know we want our bookstore to continue. If you are interested, here is the information. They are asking people to write or email the head of PA and let him know that the community wants to keep the store. Here is the address if any of you are interested

Thanks - we need to preserve as many small business as we possibly can. I suspect we, as residents and taxpayers in Andover, support PA in many more ways than we are even aware of; it only seems fair that they do the same in return.
