Andover Detectives Assist in Heroin Raid
Detectives from Salem and several other area communities participated in the drug sweep.
Thirty people were arrested in a massive heroin raid in Lawrence, MA on Thursday.
According to The Eagle-Tribune, detectives from Salem, NH and numerous Massachusetts communities, including Methuen, Lawrence, Andover, North Andover and Haverhill participated in the sweep, along with the FBI, Massachusetts State Police and the Essex County Sheriff's Department.
A series of heroin overdoses have been reported recently in Salem, Portsmouth and Salisbury, MA. One of those people later died. Police have said the overdoses could be linked to a lethal batch of heroin out of Lawrence.
