An Andover man plead guilty to assault and battery charges dating back to 2012 last week.

Eric Sideri, 51, of Andover, the owner of Angela's Coal Fired Pizza in Tyngsboro, accepted a guilty plea deal for lesser assault and battery charges than he was convicted of two years ago, according to a report in the Lowell Sun.

Sideri has already served two years in prison, and was released based on the plea agreement, reported the newspaper.

The Andover man was convicted of beating an employee with a baseball bat, a man he believed had stolen money from the pizzeria.
