Andover Woman Charged With Stabbing Girlfriend, Setting House on Fire

An Andover woman was arrested on Saturday after she reportedly stabbed her girlfriend in her Lawrence home and then set the house on fire. 

Yohanna Estrella, 34, of Andover, reportedly stabbed the victim in the upper abdomen before setting a couch on fire, which led to a three-alarm blaze, reported The Boston Globe.

Firefighters responded to the fire and found the victim, who was taken to Lawrence General Hospital. Three Lawrence firefighters were taken to the hospital with minor injuries and were treated and released. One dog was reportedly killed in the fire, reported The Boston Globe. 

Fox25 said Lawrence Police had been called to the residence 13 times since last August, including calls for domestic assault.

Estrella was charged with arson of a dwelling, assault and battery on a household member, assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon, and assault and battery with intent to murder.
