Emergency management officials were not immediately available for comment this morning, but a hoard of police and fire vehicles responded to Range Road near Cobbett's Pond Road on Monday at around 5:30 p.m.

The officer directing traffic away from the scene reported that there had been a "very bad accident," and that the entire area was closed down.

The incident took place at the peak of the wind and rain in Windham, and a massive tree limb was visible from the edge of the police blockade.

Windham Town Administrator Dave Sullivan confirmed that there is a DeLuca who lives in town who owns the business.

There are several DeLuca names listed in the Windham property records. William DeLuca III is listed as the grantee of property on Cheryl Road and Range Road.

Two residents said on the Windham Patch Facebook page that DeLuca's wife is currently fighting to get home to her husband from Florida.

Windham Patch will have more on this story as it develops.
