Dog Refuses to Leave Pond on Reservation Road

Friday, June 15

At 12:38 a.m. a 20-year-old male caller reported that he was "freaking out" and needed an ambulance on Vine Street. An officer reported that the individual was feeling symptoms of marijuana withdrawal. Fire personnel transported the individual to an area medical facility.

At 7:03 a.m. a caller reported that someone drove over her lawn the night before on Holly Terrace.

At 10:11 a.m. animal control reported that the bottom of a traffic light had been smashed on Shawsheen Road.

At 12:02 p.m. a caller reported that her dog was swimming in a pond off Reservation Road and refused to get out. She was afraid that the dog would swim until it could not swim anymore and drown. The owner eventually got the dog out.

At 4:04 p.m. a caller reported that his building on North Main Street was tagged with graffiti.

Saturday, June 16

At 10:10 a.m. a caller reported a purse and its contents spread across the grass behind a playground on Central Street. The caller did not want to go near the purse but requested an officer. The purse and its contents were no longer there at the arrival of an officer.

At 11:11 a.m. a walk-in visitor to the police station reported a hit and run on North Main Street. Her vehicle was struck while she was in the Peoples United Bank on North Main Street.

At 11:12 a.m. police issued a motor vehicle citation for texting while driving on Main Street.

At 11:30 p.m. a two-car accident was reported on North Main Street. No injuries were reported.

At 2:54 p.m. an officer reported that a stop sign was knocked over on Union Street.

At 9:47 p.m. a caller reported a loud group of kids on Main Street. The group was dispersed.

Sunday, June 17

At 3:18 a.m. an officer reported that the rear wall of the gym at the South School has been written on with chalk.

At 10:03 a.m. a caller reported a cat stuck in a tree on Longwood Drive.

At 7:22 p.m. a motoist involved in a road rage incident on North Main Street reported it to police. A 911 call was received from the second driver as well.
