Heroin Bust at La Quinta

The following information was supplied by Andover Police. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

It wasn't a mint on the pillows that caused a commotion at the La Quinta Hotel Tuesday.

At just before 2 p.m., a manager at the hotel called police and reported having a problem with a guest who refused to leave, according to police reports

Police say they arrived to find two women and an undisclosed amount of heroin.

Lina Abdilla, 27, of 8 Todd Lane, Lynnfield, was charged with possession of a class A substance. Crystal Hogan, 28, of 32 Adams Ave., Lynn, was charged with knowingly being present with heroin.

This was the latest in a series of recent heroin-related arrests in town. In September, a man was charged with possession after police said he passed out in his car high on heroin. And just a few days before that, police charged another man with heroin possession while serving a warrant at a local home.

And just a few weeks before that, there were two separate heroin arrests in Andover on the same day.
