Juvenile Charged with OUI, Texting after Hit and Run

Friday, April 6

At 10:29 a.m. police arrested Paul Muzzey, 44, 3 Woodhaven Drive, on Woodhaven Drive. Muzzey was charged with domestic assault and battery.

At 10:42 a.m. a car accident was reported on North Main Street. No injuries were reported but one party said that the other was not cooperative.

At 10:20 p.m. a caller reported that he was just assaulted by his friend's friend. The females took off in a newer model Honda Accord.

At 11:53 p.m. multiple callers reported a hit and run car accident on Downing Street. Police caught up with the driver, who was a juvenile and was arrested. The juvenile was charged with operating under the influence of liquor, operating to endanger, texting while driving and leaving the scene of property damage.

Saturday, April 7

At 9:15 a.m. a caller reported a two-car accident with no injuries on North Main Street.

At 6:44 p.m. a caller reported four youths smoking what she believed was marijuana on a park bench behind the Doherty Middle School. A responding officer did not see the kids behind the school.

At 7:06 p.m. a caller reported finding used needles along the road on Greenwood Road.

At 9:44 p.m. police assisted with a chimney fire on Nob Hill Circle. The Fire Department put the fire out within a short period of time.

Sunday, April 8

At 4:41 a.m. a caller reported a 27-year-old male that was struck in the eye by a wooden spoon on Haverhill Street. He was transported to Lawrence General Hospital.

At 10:47 a.m. a caller reported that a drain was clogged and that he had sewage backing up into his basement on North Main Street. The Fire Department reported he had about two inches of sewage in his basement. The Water Department and Public Works responded and dealt with the situation.
